Endo Black, Inc. is Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by Introducing their Social Impact Committee (SIC) to the Public

This MLK Day of Service, influential community members come together to provide resources and strategies to support Endo Black in their mission of advocacy and education.

Oxon Hill, MD — January 17, 2022

Endo Black, Inc., a black-women-led organization advocating for African American women and women of color affected by endometriosis, implements its first Social Impact Committee (SIC) Advisory Board. The founder believes that building better relationships with people in the community assists with reshaping how they deal with advocacy work and health equity. Endo Black, Inc. wants to go beyond the endometriosis community, and that is why they've formed Endo Black Inc.'s first advisory board, Social Impact Committee (SIC).

SIC comprises influential members passionate about health advocacy, collaborative change, and narrative change, providing strategies to support Endo Black, Inc by aligning us with businesses and organizations that support and believe in our mission and creating opportunities through high-visibility. Art Auré, a committee member, shares, "Living with Endometriosis my entire life, I have a responsibility to create awareness about it. I am honored to be a part of such an empowering organization".

African American women are constantly misdiagnosed, have limited access to resources, and have little research. Endo Black's goal is that by implementing SIC, the organization can successfully and effectively solve these problems by providing opportunities for education on women's reproductive health in the community and dialogues around policies, laws, and regulations that may help women affected by endometriosis.

Please join us in welcoming our newest committee members, Art Auré, Ashley Mack, Astrine Covington, Marcus Daniels, and Sarah Shoemaker.

"I am excited to join Endo Black, Inc. My passion is raising awareness for African American girls and women regarding their health. I'm hoping to help the organization spread the word about Endo and bring some awareness within the community," said Ashley Mack, committee member.
