I can remember it like it was yesterday. It was the summer of 2012 and my mother and I went on a trip to NYC with members of our family church. Things were going well and then it all changed. Severe menstrual cramps hit, and it was a hot, crazy, painful, nauseated mess with pain wreaking havoc in my back, stomach, and pelvic area.
