African American and Endometriosis Workshop (Tentativ

In collaboration with Prince George's County Memorial Library System, join us for an African American and Endometriosis Workshop at Oxon Hill Library, MD, on March 26, 2025.

This workshop from local health advocacy group Endo Black, Inc. eloquently but candidly goes over health equity, the exploitation of black bodies, the barriers of endometriosis outside of the medical field, and why representation matters. This workshop is open to sharing with anyone interested in learning more about endometriosis and African Americans.

Endometriosis is a common disease that affects up to ten percent of women and people with uteruses and can cause severe pain and infertility. Endometriosis occurs when cells similar to the lining of the uterus grow outside the uterus.

Endo Black, Inc. is a Black-women-led organization advocating for African American women and women of color living with endometriosis.”

Endo Black Meet & Greet

Mark your calendars. 📅

Join us on August 3, 2024 as we fellowship together.

This event is being undertaken to provide those affected by endometriosis, specifically African American women, to connect and form genuine sisterly bonds with each other. Our organization, Endo Black Incorporated, operates as the catalyst for change in a community that barely acknowledges the hardships of African American women affected by endometriosis.

Right now, there's a lack of awareness surrounding African American women and women of color affected by endometriosis. African American women are constantly misdiagnosed, have limited resources, and have little research on African American women.

Additionally, this event will directly benefit the community by educating the community on the egregious disorder, providing many resources to community members affected by endometriosis, raising awareness of endometriosis, and lastly, providing a safe atmosphere.

To learn more about Endo Black, Inc., please visit www.endoblack.org or email info@endoblack.org.

Mini Talk Series

Mini Talk Series

On college campuses .

The Mini Talk Series is a pilot program under the Health Equity and Racial Injustice (HERI) Target. The pilot program focuses on college-trained women that are menstruating to provide tools for advocacy and educate them. The program will inform individuals of women's reproductive health, encourage them to advocate for themselves, and connect them to resources that will benefit their health and well-being.

By providing young women with resources and tools early on, they'll be able to learn how to become advocates for themselves and others around them. Also, the Mini Talk Series will allow room for more dialogue and growth on navigating college with a chronic illness. Mini Talk Series Pilot Program will be conducted at several colleges and universities such as Morgan State University, Bowie State University, and Howard University.

This will take place during Spring and Fall semesters.

Keep a look out for all dates of events, please check out our instagram page or stay tuned by signing up for our newsletter.

Mocktails & Cocktails with Endo Black, Inc. is an intimate gathering of women discussing hair, beauty, and skin, marriage and endometriosis, endo diet, and healthy sex and managed pain among women affected by endometriosis.

For many women of color, we believe that we shouldn't discuss sex or the menstrual cycle. Endo Black, Inc. encourages women to break the chain of silence to use opportunities to educate each other. We hope that sharing stories, experiences, tips, and fears will open the floor to learning something new about healthy sex and relationships.

Join us with guests Gawddess Blane and ShaVaughn Elle while they talk with Erica R. Williams about sex and endometriosis. The event will be an event you don't want to miss.
